School District #2:
Student to Teacher Ratio - 10:1. The largest of the three districts is District #2. The district office is located in Sheridan and serves the communities of Sheridan and Story. The district consists of five elementary schools, two rural schools, one general population high school, one junior high school, and two alternative schools for students at risk of dropping out.
According to WyCAS statewide assessments, Sheridan County School District #2 is one of the top districts in the State of Wyoming and has been ranked nationally in the top 100 school districts in music education. The SAT, ACT and Merit Finalists results outpace the state and the nation. Career and technical education opportunities have been expanded in the areas of culinary arts and health occupations.
Elementary
testing data ranks Sheridan County School District #2 first in the
state on the WyCAS assessments in reading and math. We have secured
from the state legislature 100% of the appropriations needed to build
new facilities that include a 6-7-8 building, a high school vocational
center, and a 9th grade wing, all without adding to the local tax
burden.

School District #1:
Student to Teacher Ratio - 9:1. School District #1 is approximately 60 miles long and 30 miles wide and contains 932 square miles and has the Wyoming-Montana border as its northern boundary.
The
district office is located in Ranchester and this district operates on
a 4-day week schedule. The district consists of two elementary schools,
one rural school, two middle schools, and two high schools. A total of
107 certified staff members and 66 support staff members serve
approximately 900 students from the communities of Big Horn, Dayton ,
Ranchester, and Parkman.

District offices are located in Clearmont, WY . This district serves students in the Arvada, Clearmont and Lieter areas.
