Workforce Recruitment

The purpose of the Workforce Recruitment Task Force is to "increase the county's workforce and create a process to ensure a continued workforce into the future" through recruitment efforts that include (but are not limited to):
  • Utilization of the area's mature workers by providing encouragement to retired workers, who wish to return to the workforce either full or part-time, and by encouraging employers to hire older workers
  • Utilization of transitioning military service personnel into the civilian workforce.
  • Helping employers to understand the advantages of using the "Wyomingatwork" database for posting their open positions
  • Support training programs for employers to utilize the database to its best advantage
    • fill positions within their own organizations
    • assist potential candidates with finding opportunities for trailing spouses
The task force is comprised of Human Resource (HR) professionals from a variety of local industries affected by the workforce shortage in Sheridan County, as well as State and non-profit representatives invested in solutions to the growing workforce shortage.
