Workforce Recruitment
FORWARD SHERIDAN, INC.'s Workforce Recruitment Task Force is involved in research and activities to help local businesses bring to Sheridan trained workers committed to living in the Sheridan communities.The Workforce Recruitment Task Force is working on programs in the following areas:
- Transitioning Military Personnel -- The task force will be attending job fairs specifically aimed to recruit military personnel transitioning out of the service into civilian life.
- Senior Workers -- The task force is working with The Sheridan Senior Center staff to develop programs to help businesses retain their senior staff and to help seniors who wish to remain in the workforce to be productive while still enjoying their golden years.
- Trailing Spouses / JobsOpenings Repository -- The task force and Wyoming Workforce Services local staff are working together to streamline the process and develop marketing materials to present to employers encouraging them to post all jobs available in the Sheridan area to the "Wyoming Jobs!" website for the Sheridan area, with a goal of having all available jobs posted to this site and available to employers when they are attending job fairs or recruiting candidates, in order to help trailing spouses find suitable employment in the community as well.
- Young Professionals -- hYPe (helping Young Professionals engage) is a separate task force that has been created to help businesses and government officials understand amenities and features needed to make Sheridan area communities more attractive to young professionals and young families (ages 20-40).
